Russian occupiers entered a high-rise building in Selidovo, Donetsk region. Rescuers found a woman's body under the rubble.
“Tonight, the enemy launched a missile attack on the town of Selidovo, Pokrovsky district, Donetsk region. As a result, the entrance to a 4-story residential building was destroyed,” said Minister of Internal Affairs of Ukraine Igor Klimenko in his Telegram channel.
Thus, at the scene of the shelling, emergency personnel together with the police rescued a wounded man and woman, who were taken to a medical facility.
In addition, rescuers helped three people, including a child, escape from the damaged apartment on the 4th floor.
“Unfortunately, the body of a deceased woman was found under the rubble. Probably at least one person still remains under the rubble. Rescue operations continue,” the minister said.
The National Police of Ukraine later reported that Selidov was hit four times by S-300 missiles at 00:10.
“Six apartment buildings and 20 private houses were damaged. Police officers are working at the hit sites along with all emergency services,” law enforcement officers noted.
According to police data, as of 09:00, three people were injured and a dead person was known to have been rescued from the rubble by rescuers.
“As a result of the collapse, two more people may be under the rubble,” the National Police reported.
The Office of the Prosecutor General also noted that in Selidovo, a 50-year-old local resident suffered shell shock as a result of shells hitting one of the streets. She was taken to a medical facility with a hypertensive crisis in a state of moderate severity.
Regarding the damaged apartment building, the UCP reported that an 82-year-old woman and a 56-year-old man were injured from the collapse of part of the building. The body of his 85-year-old mother was recovered from the rubble.
