The biographical film, "Edith," is a collaborative effort between French director Julie Veil and co-writer Gilles Marliac. Veil highlights the contemporary approach the technology brings to Piaf's story. By incorporating archival concert recordings, stage performances, and interviews, the film promises a fresh perspective on key moments in Edith Piaf's life.
The movie will trace Piaf's journey from the 1920s to the 1960s, spanning New York and Paris. Warner has not yet disclosed the release date, but the film aims to authentically recreate Piaf's voice and appearance using artificial intelligence technology trained on hundreds of video clips and images. Additionally, the biopic assures the inclusion of original recordings of some of Piaf's most popular songs.
